I might need to recruit you to illustrate for an issue of Fun Fact Friyay someday. I'm also impressed that we have several similar resolutions. I'm trying my hand at standup right now, in fact (by standing up to take the dogs outside)!
Love the illustrations, the resolution banter, and the story! Oh, the adventures you and your husband have shared. Thank you for all of this joy. I’ll take it, anytime.
Amanda, your post had me laughing so hard! It's incredibly relatable for readers, and the illustrations really elevated it further. You're multi-talented!
You're hilarious. This is perfect. 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10. We're definitely related. And I LOVE your drawings (especially the smiley face divider). Oy, such talent. And I bet, if you try hard, you could draw a kugel. I'm sure of it, in fact. And sweetie, thanks for the shoutout for the slam! You were great, it was great. Post about March show coming out in a couple days. I'm thrilled you want to do it again. I couldn't stop once I got started. How wonderful to be storytellers.
But not 5, 7, and 9? Thanks, Nan, but I'm quite confident I could not draw a kugel. Noodle kugel, maybe. But not potato. Definitely not potato. I'm looking forward to April!
And as far as 5, 7, and 9 are concerned? My responses:
5. I'm doing a lot of high-impact activities. Ibid est: The SLAM!
7. I wear cotton. I don't dry clean anything. And, I don't sort colors. Oh, and I sit on my ass. It's awfully comfy. Plush, in fact.
9. I read Stephen King's On Writing.
He scared the shit out of me about using adverbs. He's good at scaring people.
So. I thoroughly, finally, willingly, and gratefully gave them up. I feel better about myself. I want Stephen King to like me and approve of my work. That's all I ask. Imploringly. xo
Glad you enjoyed it, Carissa. I'm sorry it took me a day to respond. I was held underwater by a slew of emails. I really appreciate you taking the time to read and to comment!
Truly hilarious!
The adverbial cat thanks you!
I'm impressed that you have all of these resolutions! I still need to make one!
I think you just did!

See, Joey? Anyone can do stand-up!
I really needed a laugh today. Thanks!🤣
If you laughed, Carole, that makes me smile!
How’s Jim and has he lost weight by giving up kugel ? Brilliant post, Amanda! ❤️❤️
Sadly, I've yet to meet a Jim at the gym. My husband has issues with that for some reason. I'm so glad you enjoyed this, Francesca!

I was really unsure about trying the illustrations, Ofifoto. Thanks for your support! If you'll take the joy anytime, I'll do my best to oblige!

🤣 If I remember correctly, Ana, it's all your fault! 🤣

Great gig.

Okay. I'm back.
A noodle kugel counts. That's not chopped liver.

Well played, Nan Tepper. Well played, indeed. Enthusiastically, impressively so. See, i.e., #9.
Love you, Cousin Kiddo! xo
Back atcha, Cousin Nan!
Now I have to go back and see what 5, 7, and 9 are. BRB.
Great twist on the resolution bucket list. Or, the f-kit list.
My emails are also taking up too much bandwidth.
Glad you enjoyed it, Carissa. I'm sorry it took me a day to respond. I was held underwater by a slew of emails. I really appreciate you taking the time to read and to comment!
Really liked this one, although you keep insulting your mother in everything you write. Your mother must be really mad at you for that.
With love from your Mother even though you love to insult her.
🤣🤣🤣 Love you, Mom!!!!
Amanda- I LOVE this piece so much, I'm not going
sully it by trying to say something clever. Brava!
You're very kind, Ed. Thank you!
Adverbial cat 🤣
I'm quite proud of that one, Henny.
As you should be
